I don’t know what it is with white but I love it, always have and always will! I dabbled in colours a few years back (quite few years back) when a friend mentioned she hated white in a home as it was so sterile looking. Oh yes I took that on board ( I don’t know why but I did – I will put it down to being young and easily influenced).
I played around with the colours of the day – blue and yellow in the kitchen, then terracotta in the bedroom, oh and then another update in the kitchen (the colour trend had changed) to aubergine. Apart from getting rather good at painting, I never quite felt right with the coloured walls so I painted everything back to white.
Aghhh (big sigh) I felt relaxed, tidy, clean (strange I know) and happy. I have wooden floors, pot plants, texture in soft furnishings and introduce colour in accents around the home. My home is not sterile looking (we have a black dog so that helps) and yes sometimes it is hard to keep it looking just as I would want it, but I love it!
I love white! The only problem is I love black too!
